Then Proceed to Memphis which was founded by King Menes, and was the capital of Egypt during the Old Kingdom, it was considered to be a centre of rule and culture for over 3000 years the first capital of Egypt, and see the Statue of Ramses II and the alabaster Sphinx of Memphis Back to the Hotel free evening with the possibility of having our optional tour to The Sound and Light Show at the Great Pyramids takes place on the Giza plateau, around 45 minutes from Cairo. The one-hour show begins with the illumination of the Sphinx, who narrates the history of the pyramids and their builders.
